My name is Josh and I am a Junior at Western Oregon University. I am studying elementary education and hope to teach 4th grade once I graduate. I will also be minoring in both American Sign Language and Spanish. These languages will allow me to interpret during the summer months.
I really appreciate your examples from a real classroom. It is good to hear that the games and computers are used during "break time" something for kids to look forward to and/or look to as a reward. At the same time, the teacher incorporated them in educational ways into the daily activities which I think is key in integrating technology into the classroom. I remember when I was in Elem school, playing computer games was awesome, but I never noticed they were all math, science, and history games!
